Guest guest
Dear Bhrihaspatis, Danyosmi Namaskaram, Adeyen, Humbly requests one and all to solve my problem The last time when I saw my father I was a two year kid. Now I am 27. We parted, Due to separation. Neither he willed to see me, though he know where I am. Nor I was interested. Meanwhile, about a year from his demise (date unknown), Approximately, eight years from now through my relatives I came to know that he is no more in this world. His Immediate relatives did not inform me about his demise. I neither got an opportunity to see him at last. The immediate kaariyam (Dahanam, 12 days etc.) was done by His relatives. Now that anyway I am his progeny. Being his son, Do I owe any obligation to the Departed Soul? What should be done for all the left out Pitru kaariyams? Am I subjected to Pariharam of any kind? I am not a Grihasta yet. But I am a Staunch Srivaishnava. I have been Initiated to Gayatri, Samasrayanam, and Sharanagathi (Bharanyaasam) by Srimad RangaRamanuja Maha Deshikan, Prakritam Srimad Andavan Swami (PeriyAshramam). I am a Doctoral Research Scholar in Econometrics, perusing my studies in Sri Sathya Sai University, Puttaparthi. Adeyen, will be Grateful to All the Bhagavaatha Koti's to brief me on this regard. Sincerely, Soundar Rajan. *** Nothing to do for the departed soul, nothing can be done in favour of a soul without a shareeram by a human. But a man can do lot for a soul with shareeram. One can have no right to refuse the rituals after his demise. And actually thinking as " that they are done towards us " is not wise. If a person who is respecting shastras should do it for the sake of shastras by this to get the preethi of bhagavan. So, you try to do dharbha samskaram and full kainkaryam, do dhaanams as much as you can (as pariharam) and continue the shradhams as instructed by the bruhaspathy. nvs
