Guest guest
srI: Sriman NVS swamin, dasoham. We have a doubt. It is generally suggested to have phala aharam (pazham) in the night bhojanam if one performed a sraddham, pitru -tarpaNam or Rhsi tarpaNam on a upAkarmA day. What is prescribed for night bhojanam after these rituals, when one did not eat annam for the midday due to udyoga nimittam? In this case, is annam prescribed for the night bhojanam? Due to udyoga nimittam, it is not always possible to have annam for midday bhojanam. Best regards. dasan. *** You have twice mentioned the phrase " Udyoga nimittam " , which can not be considered by sastram, because the 'Udiyogam' you are mentioning is not suggested by sastram for a brahmanan. If you think the 'Udyogam' is very must on a vrudham day, then why not keep full day upavasam? Which is not restricted on any condition. Also, dhrava (liquid) aaharams like milk or fruit juice are not considered as 'aahaaram consumed', it can be taken twice or thrice also to mange the hungry. nvs
