Guest guest
Swamin On behalf of my father can i perform pithamahi and pithamahan srartham with homam, when he is unable to perform the same. In my previous mails i had sought clarification about kankairyam for missing father. you have given reply to do darbasamaskaram but it should be done in utharayana or dakshinayana punyakalam. Expecting your favourable reply. Dasan Lakshmanan *** Any karma should be done by the actual kartha as described in the shastram. Whenever a kartha feels that he could not perform the karma due to some unavoidable circumstance, then he request somebody to perform it. But whoever may be the acting kartha (he may his own brother or son) the acting kartha can not be the main kartha, there is no difference in uttering manthras between the son and a third person. Paarvana homa shradham can be done when the 'pill (dharbham)' has been received from a male. -- Dharbha samskaram and kainkaryam can be done throughout the year. nvs
