Guest guest
Dear VaAsu Mama, Thank you very much for sending the dharmasastram. Yes. It is really useful to know what are the Do's and Don'ts. I read today about the smartha karmas (12.3.1). While some of them are known[like jatha/nama karma, upanayanam, seemantham etc.], can you please explain : Prajapathyam / Aagneyam / Sowmyam / vaiswadevam etc.. Also all the items in section 12.4 / 12.5 /12.6 like what it is, the procedure / when it has to be done etc.. Probably this can be explained one by one depending on your convenience. Thank you once again for showing us the great path. Pranams, Muralidharan Seshadri *** Well, 12.3.9-13 Prajapathyam / Sowmyam /Aagneyam / vaiswadevam and Snanam are collectively called as " Vradham " which is performed for the Bride Groom on his marriage date now a day, but actually the last item " Snanam " only to be done on the marriage day. In the list of yagnas from Chrowdha karmas : some of us are doing only the Deva yajgnas 12.5.1 - Deva Yajnam - Perumal or any deity worship 12.5.2 - Pitru Yajnam - Pitru poojas 12.5.3 - Brahma Yajnam - Reciting a part of Vedha every day as a duty. 12.5.4 - Bhoodha Yajnam - For this purpose only we are giving a small quantity of food to crow and or cow. 12.5.5 - Manushya Yajnam - Adhithi bhojanam (guest feeding) and self. We are not doing all other Samskaras. nvs
