Guest guest
Dear sirs I am in receipt of the attachment wherein point 3.2.18 beyond 24 months sons of gnathi if soum done 3 days. suppose if soum not done then there will not be any theettu. is it correct. Similarly for ladies we doo chooda karma at age 3 then also applicability of theettu pl. Since soum is not a vaideeka samskaram and till marriage the son / daughter will not have theetu. pl explain for whom theettu by this clause Dasan RSrinivasan *** You are mentioning " Choulam " as 'soum' I hope. Choulam is a very very relegious vaideeka ritual which is having plenty of manthrams and which is having brahma, which requires Ankuram, Prathisaram, Udhakasanthi etc. You should check 3.2.17 before going to next point. In which it is clearly mentioned " From 25th month to 6 th year, all dhasaraathra gnaathi's sons " Which means, the upanayanam should be done in garbhashtamam, i.e, in the 7th year, so, all the boys after sixth year will have the upanayanam from their 7th year. So, this class ends there. Once again you go through the points 3.2.17 and 3.2.18 then you will realise there is no diffrence, but a clarification you will get, that, " though a boy with the completion of choulam in his third year, will not come to the category of boy completed with upanayanam " . nvs
Guest guest
VaAsu Mama, One suggestion : Can you please mention the meaning of special words like 'Samnodhagargal', Dasarathra gNathigal, anupanidhanana dasrathra.... saapindyam etc.. for easy understanding now and later. If the tamil equivalent is given next to that words [for some it is already given like sweekaram vazhangappatta... Who is gnathi and who is samanodhakan was well explained in it. And I had given explanation for all tough words when it occurs first time. So, kindly go through once again. Also, for the sake of members like you I try to give a table of sanskrit words with equalant Tamil words later. But for now: Dasarathra gNathigal - Pangali who is having theetu for ten days. 'Samnodhagargal' - Pangali after 7th generation upto 14th generation. These two explained in Asaucha kaandam - point 1.1 anupanidhanana -- Upanayanam not yet done is called " Unupaneetha " done is called -- " Upaneethan " nvs
