Guest guest
Swamin - Namaskaram. I would like to know about annual srardham. One of my friend (brahmin)was very much attached to his elder brother since he brought him up when other brother did not care. His brother was religious as per Hindu eventhogh he married a Christian girl, who died last year (about 11 months now.) Since no one could be contacted his last rights were done as per Christian by his wife. His sons are not religious. My friend wants to know if he will be able to perform srardham on the thidhi of expiry as brother's sons will not perform anything. As a brother what he has to do. He is unhappy he could not do anything to his brother after his death who has brought him us since childhood. Under the above can you guide what best can be done. Please inform me so that I can tell my friend. (Is it a pity that such a person may not get anything after his death.) Namaskarams. Thank you Rajasekaran. *** Doing Shradham is one's own duty to get rid of his sin. It can be compared with taking bath. One should take bath to remove the 'Azhukku' from his body. We (one) can not take bath for other's, like that, others can not perform shradham except he comes in the list of 'Karthas'. nvs
