Guest guest
Quoting srirevu: 1. When a prapannan visits a relative who has arranged KOLU and offers sundal or prasadam offered to Kolu. Can it be accepted? Idols require " prANa prathishtai " of devathas. In kolu no such thing happens and so there is no question of " devathAntharam " . So we can take it as prasadham of Lord Sriman Narayana ! 2. Can there be a kolu arrangement in a prapannan's house when there is no body else other the the prapannas live? All devathas get their powers from Lord Sriman Narayana. Hence it is not a wrong thing to celebrate the victory of good over evil during Navarathiri festival. Kolu is a festival and we can celebrate it in Vaishanvite tradition without much fanfare. 3. Can prasadam of Anjaneya temple be accepted considering it as a Baghavatha Prasatham? In vaishanavite tradition , Anjaneya is worshipped as a bhaktha of Lord Sri Rama and never as a predominant deity. So there is no harm in taking the prasadam offered to Anjaneya since it is the prasadam of (usually) Lord Sri Rama or any other murthi of Lord Sriman Narayana. Still , since Anjaneya opted for kaivalya sukham instead of moksham , parameya kanthis generally avoid taking the prasadam of Anjaneya. Attention may be drawn to the pasuram " Icchuvai thavira yaan poai , indira logam AaLum, acchuvai peRinum veNden, Aranga mA nagaruLane " in which indira logam is often referred to Srivaikuntam in vyAkyAnams. I stand to correction by revered Bhagavathas and scholars. DAsan , Ilayavilli S Boovarahan
