Is there any pramaanam on the custom of calling the crows to partake the pindam on Adhyayanam days? Is not a crow a carnivorous bird? If the annam is offered into the agni, is it not enough to reach the Pithru? Is there any sasthriya sanction to what is said in (Valmiki Ramayanam Utthara Kandam Chapter 18. sloka 5, and 28-29.) which tells about Lord Yama's sanctionig the right to Crows to partake the food offered to Pithrus?? I sincerely pray and wish that Swamin's right hand is back to its normal,healthy ways, devoid of all pains Kindly enlighten us.
