Guest guest
Respected Swamy(s) We are all bhagvathaas and do saranagathi before acharyan and seek his advice. He explains about the saranagathi. We are the followers of the great Acharyan and do services accordingly. We should not do any type of Bhagavatha abhacharams as per the teachings of the Acharyan. We should not harm anyone even if we can't help others or make them happy. ITHAM SAREERAM PAROPAHARAYAA. If you accept the words of Acharyas, never do any harm to anybody. We bow down before 'The Acharyan' and explained the status of the family. Here is a true incident that needs kind notice. I wanted to make all bhagvathaas to aware of this - My co-brother has 2 daughters. Both have attained the age for Marriage. Due to the cancellation of their first daughter's marriage, my sister-in-law was forced to quit her job in Defence Ministry, Bangalore. She took this decision to be with her family. Marriage was arranged for my sister-in-law's daughter during March 2008. We had fixed a hall in Mylapore called 'Vedantha Desikar Mahal' . We had duly paid the amount of Rs.77,000/-(rounded off) and had obtained receipt for the same which is available with us. Due to certain unavoidable circumstances that arose, the marriage was called off. It was immediately informed to Sriman Adhivarahaswamy, choultry Manager. He extended his advice in connection with the girl's marriage. As per his advice, her parents did Sudharshana Homam in their house and he told some pariharams also. But all went in vain. He said 25% of the amount will be collected as cancellation charges and hence we would not get back the discounted money. Instead, he suggested that we can arrange for the girl's marriage on any date suitable for us. Days have passed. As the girl's marriage has been not yet been scheduled, we demanded money from choultry manager, Srimaan Adhivarahan swamy. Then he wanted one letter from us so that it can be placed before the Trustee Board Meeting. We had given the letter to him. Still, we could not hear a positive reply. Fortunately, we got the news that Acharyan swamy has come from Ahobilam to Vedantha Desikar Hall, Mylapore after Chathurmasyam. We bowed down before swamy and narrated him all the information on Oct 1, 2008. Swamy was deeply moved and he gave instructions to contact the trustee at Selaiyur Mutt. In this connection, Mr Narasimhan (girl's father) met Mr Varadarajan on Oct 2, 2008, one of the Trustees in the Selaiyur Mutt and narrated the incident. He said that if Swamy has permitted to pay the money, he will repay the money as per Swamy's wish. But, nothing has materialized so far. The girl's father underwent an operation in the Spinal Cord recently due to a slip from his vehicle. Truly speaking, if the marriage had not taken place on the scheduled date, isn't it the responsibility of the choultry manager to return the money (after taking due compensation for his loss) ? But, not even a single penny has been returned. Can anyone please help the grieving family in this regard and show them a way ? S.THIRUNARAYANAN of Karappangadu. Unlimited freedom, unlimited storage.
