In my opinion the meaning should be like this " those who do not have the fortune of being called father " . If I am wrong please correct me Sundararajan *** The same doubt I also had for some time; but it does not mean it; When a person die before his father and without a son, his father has to do the shraaddham etc. Here 'father is also not alive to perform those things ' is the real meaning. Still I could not understand one version of this, which is in use by some people: " Yeshan na maataa, na pitaa ... " It seems " Ulagam pala vidham naam athile oru vidham ...
