Guest guest
Swamin, Namaskaram We find some days are mentioned in Panchangams as " KARINALL " I would like to know about the above. It is said by elders as not good day. Generally for thdhi, nakshatram ete there is some specified timing - start and endi -But not so for Karinal. What is the basis for Karinal (finding out) (day, thidhi, nakshatram etc) what things can be done and what not during karinal Is it for day time only or for night also? (taking sunrise to sunrise of next day) Can you please enlighten me more on this? (This is practised by Brahmins of Tamilnadu only? In Andhra it is not known.to them as far as I know.) please inform me. With my namaskaram Adiyen Rajasekaran - Hyderabad/ *** I hope the new member of our group " vitahavya " will explain well about it for you. nvs
Guest guest
swamin, I have absolutely no idea on this subject. however, when I look at the calender, I definitely feel that all the black (letter) days are definitely bad and the red letter days are definitely good. adiyen vitahavya *** Let me have some time to explain it with technical details later. But for now to understand: There are some portion of bad time in every division of time. Bad portion of thithi is called thithi thyajyam; Bad portion of nakshatram is called nakshatra thyajyam Like wise bad portion of a month is called 'Karinaal' but as per practice most of the astrologers are not giving much importance to 'Karinaal'. nvs vaideekam , Rajasekaran P <rajasekaran_hyd wrote: > > Swamin, > > Namaskaram > > > > We find some days are mentioned in Panchangams as " KARINALL " > > > > I would like to know about the above. > > It is said by elders as not good day. > > Generally for thdhi, nakshatram ete there is some specified timing - > start and endi -But not so for Karinal. Guest guest
swamin, I just wished to add to the statement. The sanskrit saying that i heard was: " prati patha sheelena vidyaiva tanutam gatah. " therefore pratipada was an anadhyam day. however, pratipada was the day for darsa and purnamasa istis and also sthalipaka ishtis. adiyen dasoham vaideekam , Rajagopalan <vsrajagopalan2003 wrote: > > Dear Bruhaspathi Swamin, > While explaining at a later date on Karinaal, I request you to kindly explain > about the day after Pournami and Amavasai (Pattiammai).
