Dear one and all,

Sriman N V S Swamy Garu's list of Daily Rituals of Indian Women is very good.

This holds good not only in Iyengar family - even for others - by replacing Harinamam to their Ishta Devata

Though many of these things are being practised by women, I would like to bring to the attention, many of our men are not doing their daily rituals properly.

A simple Sandhyavandanam has been forgotten mostly by our men, due to their so-called rat race in their daily life. Thus, we ourselves disrespect this great religion, which is highly appreciated by others - especially by foreigners.

I was surprised to see a foreign couples, saying "Shubham Karoti" sloka, when the lights were switched on in the evening. I also had the rare opportunity to meet a Greece-American couple, doing daily Yoga and meditations, without even visiting India - they have taken interest to know about our great values.

I personally feel, that parents have to be play a major role and be a role-model than getting these things taught to their children through any school / by guru.

Pardon me if my comments affect anyone in particular. I gave my personal opinion only.
