Guest guest
Sriman NVS Swamigal Could you please clarify what is adi devata and pratydidevata in the Navagraha suktas. In Kerala, this concept is absent. While performing Graha Shanti as Navagraha Poojas are called, the mantras belonging to Adi Devata and Pratyadidevas are entirely omitted. Adiyen vitahavya *** When we are doing navagraha aavaahanam ... Just we are saying the mantram for the particular graha say 'Suryan' - 'Asatyena rajasaa .... ', 'Agnidutam vruniimahe ...', 'Yeshamese .....' all these three mantrams and will say " adi devata pratyadi devata sahitam aditya graham dhyaayaami aavaahayami " but we don't know the names or description of those devatas. sorry. nvs
