Normally, Vetrilai, Paaku, coconut and or banana fruit with required dhakshinai only will be given for bruhaspathy in tarpanams. When the shraaddham is performed as Aamam due to unavoidable circumstance, then a little quantity of all things used to prepare the Shraadha bhojanam can be given as raw (uncooked) if possible. Otherwise minimum rice, moongdal, Vellam (jaggery), Vaazhaikkai, Sembu kizhangu are enough. Regarding Abhivadhi: No Abhivadhi to be performed at: 1) any sanyasis 2) Perumal 3) a group or More than one male person 4) one or more ladies A person with his patni is eligible for abhivadhi. A boy can perform abhivadhi for his mother with or with his father and after his father's death. nvs
