Guest guest Posted August 1, 2009 Report Share Posted August 1, 2009 Vanakkam Vasu Mama Only one doubt on Yajur upakarma .Usually UPakarma is on Avani Matham Avittam Nakshatram but this time it is shown as August 5th is Aadi Matham Avittam. Can we go ahead with UPakarma on 5th of August or else 3rd septemeber is AVani Avittam Dasan srinivasan *** Upakarma is adviced to do on Aavani month (mostly the Powrnami will coincides with Avittam star), but if this day is having any doshas then it is adviced to do on Aadi Powrnami, if both Aadi and Aavani is having dhoshas then it can be done on Purattasi Powrnami also. So, it is decided by the sutras while preparing the panjangams. So, you have to follow the panjangams and should do the Upakarma on 5th August only.
