This sannadhi is 5 mts. walkable distance from Sirupuliyur Divya desam. Guest guest Posted September 26, 2009 Report Share Posted September 26, 2009 Swamin,There is a separate sannidhi for Ananthaalwar with in the temple in Varadarajar temple in Kanchipuram.As per the legend, in Kali yuga Ananthaalwar is believed to perform aradhana for the lord everyday. As the temple priests are the one performing the aradhana everyday, their kula deivam is Ananthaalwar in this sannidhi. Emperuman here was worshiped by Brahma in Kritha yugam, by Gajendraalwar (yes, the same elephant that was rescused by Varadar) in Thretha Yugam, by Bhrihaspati in Dwapara Yugam. Even today on full moon day in Chitra month Lord Brahma performs aradhana for the lord and like wise one day in the year (cant remember the day, but if interested shall mail you the day later) Ananthaalwar performs aradhana for Emperuman.
