Guest guest
Sethu tharpanam Has significance as it is done at sea shore and sea means ALL THE RIVERS are present. Many do TILA HOMAM which has very great significance as it takes care of seven generations up and down and also it takes care of our own prvious births .Sri Rama is said to have done SETHU THARPAN . As regards Gaya Srartham once it is done it gives immense relief to our pithrus and they do not take rebirth.North Indians do this and then they do not do any annual ceremonies thereafter. As regards Badreinath it is done vat BRAHMA KAPALAM with the cooked rice prasadam offered at the temple and normally people do it after the Gaya Srartham. I am unable to quote the releavant authority but the pundits at both places would enlighten you further. Some body says that shrardham at Badrinath should not be undertaken before doing so at Gaya. Somebody says that Gaya Tharppanam is ultimate. Which is correct. Kindly enlighten on the above.
