Need your help for some question on funeral ceremony...

Hello,

 

I have a question on a funeral ceremony. Our relative has passed away on a accident. And i have a doubt on when we do the 12th day ceremony (sabandikaranam) for accidental death. Is there any difference in the way we do the funeral ceremony for accidental death from the normal one ? If any of you know any information on this, pls share with me. That will be of great help.

Normally in case of apamrityu, a Vishnu Bali is performed. The procedure is to

draw a Chakrabja padmam (kolam) vishnu bali is done. This Vishnu Bali is

different from the Vishnu Bali performed at birth. While at birth rig veda

mantras starting with Ato Deva Avantu no with havis is sacrified into the homa

fire.
