Guest guest
Respected swamin, We in our family circles have a doubt on KARI NAAL. In our family, all are vary of Kari Naal and avoid all important things to do. But recently my relative told me that Kari naal is not applicable to brahmins 1.Is it true that Kari Naal is not applicable to Brahmins? 2.Is it possible that inauspicious kari naal for all be an exception to brahmins only. Will swamin clear what is the correct authoritative position as per shastras, so that in our family we can follow the true position? Adiyen, Kochappaa Sri: Actually 'Karinal' is nothing but 'masa thyajyam' and it means a portion which is considered to be little bad to use for subhams. But in practical it is considered that the combination of Thithi, Vaaram, Nakshatram, Lagnam and Yogam is powerful than that of 'Karinal' and hence if the other factors are good, this 'karinal' can be ignored. It is not only for Brahmin but for everyone. But, here also by practical brahmins have accepted the above explanation and mostly doing subhams on karinal days, but non brahmins are still rejecting karinals. nvs
