Guest guest
Swamin, Namaskaram, How is the karmas to be accomplished for ladies who 1] is unmarried 2] is a widow but has no issues also. Who is to do the same and how. Please let me know. Sri: Timely asked question?! Feb 14th My unmarried elder sister passed away and I did the karma till last week Thursday. So, I was not able to give reply for many mails. How older be (the age) unmarried lady there is no sapindikaranam. There is no proper prayogams given in any book for this. But, I found in many books that everything should be done as normal as other married upto 10th day karma but without mantrams (said as 'Amantrakam') Full 10 days theetu for all brothers. The Paashana sthapanam can be done on 10th day itself, there is no pangali tarpanam, but nithyavidhi, ekotravrudhi, navashraaddham, prabuda bali, shanti homam, ananda homam, dhadhiyaradhanam everything to be done. 11th day punyaham, nava shraaddham, aadhya masikam only to be done. on 12th day 'Narayana bali' to be done with 24 or 12 or 6 or 4 swamis. There is no food offerings for swamins, Veshti, sombu, kulapatram, dhakshinai etc. had been given as dhattham. Vadhyar said there is no subha sweekaram for this. But we did sevakalam immediately after Narayana bali and then dhadhiyaradhanam to all relatives. regs, nvs
Guest guest
Sri: I missed to give answer for the 2nd question here is the answer: Sapindikaranam should be done for all married ones (Male or female) the order of kartha is here under. The karma will differs according to the demised person and not according to the kartha upto sapindikaranam. The difference will take place in the following things according to kartha: If the kartha is a Brahmachari then there is no Agni santhanam Aupasanam, Samitadhanam then sapindikaranam this difference is according to his Ashrama. The kartha is a widower, then straight away sapindikarna homam only. If the kartha is a third person received graas from the patni of the demised person or from any lady kartha, then straight away sapindikarana homam only. The person in the next order must do the karma if the previous person in the order is not available or not eligible or not applicable or not willing to do etc. The order is: 1. Elder son 2. If Twins, second born is considered as elder. 3. If sons for more than one wife, elder by age to be considered. 4. If get a male child after having a boy as sweekaram, own child should be the kartha. 5. Son's son - Powthran 6. Powthran's son 7. A son who given up as sweekaram - Dhattan. 8. His (Dhattan's) son 9. Daughter's son (Tauhitran) having right in property. 10. Tauhitran (even if there is no property). 11. Brother if joint family continues. 12. Wife (Pathni) 13. If demised is a lady, if there is no issues, son of the co-wife if any. 14. Husband (Bhartha) In the case of a lady, for all mentioned relations should add " Husband's " as prefix. 15. Dhuhita - Daughter 16. Brother (Braatha ) 17. Brother's sons 18. Asotara bhraatha - Sitappa, periyappa sons and their sons. 19. Pita - Father 20. Matha - Mother 21. Snusha - Daughter in law. 22. Powthri - Son's daughter 23. Dhowhitri - Daughter' daughter 24. Powthrasya pathni - Son's son's wife. 25. Their (24) daughter. 26. Sweekaram given (dhattan) son's wife. 27. Bhagini (elder or younger sister) 28. Bhagineyan (Marumaan, sister's son) 29. Sapindan (any one of our 7 generation pangali) 30. Samanodhagan (three generation from mother side) 31. Matru Sapindan (Mother's 7 generation pangali) 32. Mother's mother side three generation. 33. Jaamatha (Son in law) ?? !! [This is called Dharma shastra ?!] 34. Sakha - any friend. 35. Dhanahaari - Any person who gets the property. If many persons availble in the same category then elder by age should gets preference without checking the mother's side or father's side. nvs vaideekam , Muralidharan PS <psmuralidharan124 wrote: > > Swamin, > Namaskaram, > How is the karmas to be accomplished for ladies who 1] is unmarried 2] is a widow but has no issues also. Who is to do the same and how. Please let me know. > > > > > Sri: > Timely asked question?! > > Feb 14th My unmarried elder sister passed away and I did the karma > till last week Thursday. Guest guest
Swamin Excellent explanation - and is valuable to everyone in sometime or the other. Can you explain the same for a WIDOWER (MAN) - NO ISSUE - NO BROTHERS - but have sisters and their children Female / male - in case of his death who shall do the anthima karyam and what is the procedure thanks and regards adiyen Sri: The given list is common for men & women regardless of with issuess, without issues, married, unmarried. For example for a man without issues the fist 10 points (Karthas mentioned upto item 10) is not applicable that is all. regs, nvs > > > > Sri: > I missed to give answer for the 2nd question > here is the answer: > > Sapindikaranam should be done for all married ones (Male or female) > the order of kartha is here under. > > The karma will differs according to the demised person and not according to the kartha upto sapindikaranam. > > The difference will take place in the following things according to kartha: > > If the kartha is a Brahmachari then there is no Agni santhanam Aupasanam, Samitadhanam then sapindikaranam this difference is according to his Ashrama. > > The order is: > 1.
