Information needed about changing Poonul (Yagnobhavidham)

Swamin,

 

I searched the archives but couldn't get the answer. Can you tell me whether we

need to change the poonul after hair-cut? Also do we have to change the poonul

if we touch the ladies who are in their periods accidently (directly or

indirectly thorugh kids)?

Sri:

After Kshavaram (Hair cut) new poonal should be worn.

Theetu by touch is not required to change poonal, only snanam is enough.
