Guest guest
Dear Swamin Thank you for a prompt reply. My question arose from a doubt as to why Sri Rama Yuvaraja Pattabhishekam " failed. Did not Sage VasishTa, the 'PurO+hita' and kula guru know that it cannot go through and if so, why he did not point it out to Dasaratha? My presumption is: The moment Dasaratha noticed a white hair near his ear, he decided to retire handing over the reins to Sri Rama and in his hurry, he did not take care to seek the advice of his Kulaguru but simply ordered him to make arrangements for the coronation the very next day in " Pushya Nakshatram " . VasishTa had to obey the Chakravarthi's orders to instruct Sri Rama to start the " vratam " . And, it was Punarvasu (Sri Rama's Janma Nakshatram) when Sri Rama started the " Vratam " . The doubt is whether this had the effect of stalling the coronation. Sage VasishTa did know about this but being a " Puro + hita " (One who knew and could advise what is good ahead of the event) preferred to keep mum, as any advice to the contrary would have negated the " Avatara Rahasyam " of " Ravana vadam " that can happen only if Sri Rama were to go in exile. Your inputs, please. Dasoham Anbil Ramaswamy *** All your questions have been replied by yourself correctly, no more to input. Also, it is too high to compare our present lives with the period of Rama, which was held in a different yugam with different yuga dharmam. The Kula Guru or Purohit like me need calculator or computer to multiply a two digit number with 2. We (I) can not simply suggest (without referring a book) even about the theetu vishayam for second step generations. People are behaving like Dasarada Chakravarthy and Bruhaspathees are thinking that they (every one) were permitted to amend sastras of their own. Now lake of qualification is the good qualification to become Bruhaspathy. Those Bruhaspathees are calling them as " Shat sutra Pandits " . I have much interest to participate discussions like this purana idhikasa subjects; But I have to refer and write much (tons) about rituals. All those things to be given in a simple format for the ease of users. If some of us try to educate people about Prayoga Shastras, then only future gruhastas can manage those 'Pandits'. So, I want to keep this group exclusively for Vaideekam/Rituals without any mix. I strongly believe my aim is good, and hence there is no compromise in this for any reason. nvs
