Guest guest
Sri: Sri NVS swamin, Sri Sita -Rama kalyanam happened on Panguni uttaram day. Also Sri Andal -Ranganathar kalyam happened on Panguni uttaram day. But we see the kalyana utsavams are performed on Perumal's tirunakshatrams (SriRamanavami, panguni uttaram, Bhogi, Adipooram) in the temples. 1. What is the tatpariyam following this tradition in the temples? 2. What is tatpariyam on following kalyanam on shashti apta poorti, sadabhishekam on the Janma nakshatram day of purushas, when any subha karyam is not recommended to be performed on a janma nakshtram day? 3. When we do some subha karyam at home, the dina porutham of yillal (female) is looked upon? What is the tatpariyam for following this? vachika doshaha kshantavyaha. dasan. *** I wish to clear that I don't know anything about temple traditions. (Except I was with my father to help him in koil kainkaryams up to the age of 10). The functions what you have mentioned are all depending on a star. Abda poorti is common for male and female child. Usually male is senior than female partner in a family life, and hence the star of the male is coming first and hence the Shastiabda poorti, Sadabhishegam are celebrated according to the star of the male. I think few statements are wrong in your message: 1. Panguni utram Kalayana Utsavam for Ranganathar & Andal? 2. Adi pooram is the nakshathram of perumal (male)? Again and again people are not minding about the two categories of karmas: 1. Mandatory (compelled by shastras) 2. Optinal (can be done for their kshemam with their own interes) Sastras defined to select a day to look for who's star (male / female) for every particular karma for the mandatory karmas. General logic behind is : Wherever a karma is done with the female partner, then the dhina porutham to be considered for the star of the female partner. Otherwise the dhina porutham to be checked for the star of that individual. The second type of karmas (optinals) are done by seeking porutham to the star of the person who's kshemam is considered as main. nvs
