Respected and dear Vadhyar

(Moderator)

I have just joined this e-group, precisely yesterday late evening, with a

great expectation of learning out of this as well as with a belief that perhaps

I might also be able to contribute a little to enrich others too.

My first observation is that mails such as

requesting for inclusion of names for sankalpams for homams, poojas, japas, etc…may be classified under personal folders/mails

within the e-group and in my opinion, such may not be necessary to be circulated

within the group members as these are personal wishes of members (or matters of

privacy) and moreover they add no value to the interests of other members. At

the most, such mails may serve as reminders to the rest of the members in the group

to send their requests too for such sankalpams.

Therefore, I request the moderator to re-consider his decision to circulate such

personalized mails to the group members.

I look forward to a very interesting and

active session of ‘chat’ amongst the group and wish this group all

the very best.

Thanks & Best Regards

Vaasu

Dear Group members,

I completely disagree with Shri Vasudevan. In my view, VAsuVAdhyAr is doing

an extremely good service and trying to unite the group with strong threads

of moral values, wherever they are geographically located. There is nothing

wrong in providing specific requests for Sankalpam. We in fact do this in

front of other devotees in the temples when we perform ArchanAs or

AbhishekAs. Rather the group shoould feel like one united family around the

world and there should not be any inhibition such as sharing any personal

information. Whether any such information can be sent in a for Sankalpam or

not should be rather decided by the sender. In fact many in the group may

too pray for the fullfilment of the wishes of the sender. Group prayer

(Koottu PrArthanai) always has a lot of effects in getting good results.

This is my view as a member of the group. However Shri VAsuVAdhyAr may

kindly advise the group appropriately.

Best regards,

Emmaarkay

What the new member has told is correct, which i had instructed two weeks back

to send your sankalpam requests to my personal mail id, but now the matter is

over for this year. IT will be strictly implied from next time.
