Should we consider the english calendar when calculating the day of his birth (which happened to be monday)? Or should we consider he being born on sunday? � Do the sastras probihit tonsure/shaving on the day of one's birth? � daasadaasoham Prasanna � *** As per prayoga shastram every where it is used only the star and rasi of persons and not the day of birth and all. As this is not used for calculating any vaideeka karma, then you yourself can fix it as either Sunday or Monday and act according to that for all other shastras.
