He is my Lord, in Vaikunta, who is the great enchanter, the Lord of the devas, who has Himself became the trinity, devas, sages, and other species, though being Himself the One entity, caused by Himself and who, creating the milky ocean and reclines Himself therein.

thaan oruruve-

He is the sole entity, described in the Upanishads as sath or Brahman, which existed one only without a second. 'sadheva soumya idham agra aaseeth;ekam eva adhvitheeyam,'(chandogya up.)

tanivitthaai-

As explained in the pasuram, 1.5.2, He is the material, instrumental and auxiliary cause of all hence He is referred to as thani vitthu, only seed for everything. As the Upanishad goes on to say, 'thath aikshatha bahu syaam prajaayeya,' it willed to become many, the Lord Himself became the trinity, devas, sages, humans, plants animals and the inanimate objects. But He remained in His real state as explained in the pasuram quoted above by `poornam adhah poornam idham.'

Thannil moovar mudhlaaya-

He Himself manifested as the trinity Brahma, Vishnu and Siva for the purpose of creation, sustenance and annihilation. Or this could also refer to the three vyuha forms of Paravasudeva, namely, Sankarshana, pradhyumna and Aniruddha, all manifestations of Vasudeva to perform respective functios.

vaanOr palarum munivarum matRum matRum mutRumaai-

He Himself became the devas ,sages, humans and all other species sentient and insentient, by being their inner self. This is termed as anupravesa as mentioned in the Upanishadic text quoted above which subsequently mentions the anupravesa of Brahman into all entities. `anena aathmnaa anupraviSya naamaroope vyaakaravaaNi,' " I will enter into these entities as the inner self and give them name and form.

thaanOr peruneer thannuLLE thOtRi- He is the maamaayan, great enchanter who creates the milky ocean within Himself and also sleeps in it, adhanuL kaNvaLarum. All creations are within Himself as there is nothing apart from Him as the whole universe is His sareera. Just as He lay on the banyan leaf created by Himself He is also sleeping in the ocean created by Himself.

vanOr perumaan- He is the overlord of the devas

vaikundhan emperumaan

He who is Vaikunta, is also my Lord. By this azvar depicts the parathva, supremacy of the Lord and also His soulabhya, easy accessible nature to the devotees.

vaikunTa – the word kunTa means obstacles. Vikunta means without obstacles. Vigathaah kunTaaH yasmaath. vaikunTa is the one who has no impediments or no faults, kurai onRum illaadha govindhan as Andal called Him. VaikunTa, His abode is the place where there is no impediments for the enjoyment of the devotees who reach there and his attendants, the nitthyasooris like Garuda , Anantha and vishvaksena.

The Lord not only created all but also comes to them to show His grace. He is in Vaikunta as paravasudva but comes down to the milky ocean for the devas and others to approach Him. We hear in the stories that the devas with Brahma always going to the thiruppaarkadal to see Him when they are in distress. For the lesser beings who could not go there the Lord comes down as vibhava, incarnations, for the people of the world, to resort to Him for protection. As he could not be in all places in His vibhava form He places Himself in the world everywhere in archa form as idols. Besides He is the anthryaami for those who could seek Him inside. This is the paraakaadshTaa, the highest limit for His soulabhya to protect His creations.
