He sought the sacred feet of Adhi VaNN SaThakOpa Jeeyar , recieved Pancha SamskArams and performed Grantha ChAtushtya ( SrI BhAshyam, GeethA BhAshyam , Bhagavath Vishayam and SrIMath Rahasya Traya Saaram ) from His AchAryan , who recognized the scholarship and AchArya Bhakthi of Thozhappar . SrI Adhi VaNN SathakOpa Jeeyar asked Thozhappar to compose a few dharma sAstra granthams for the benefit of SrI VaishNavAs . Thozhappar placedthe niyamanam of his AchAryan on his siras and created 8 granthams : 1.Gruhya Ratnam 2. GhaNDa BhUshaNam 3. Smruti RatnAkaram 4. PitrumEdha Saaram 5. SudheevilOchanam ( Commentary on # 5) 6.DaSa NirNayam 7. AaSoucha satakam and 8. AaSouhca nirNayam . Adhi VaNN SaThakOpa Jeeyar was immensely pleased with Thozhappar's Kaimakryam and its quality and honored his sishyan with the Birudhu of "Vaidhika Saarvabhoumar". The seed for much of what we know as Ahnika Granthams started from Thozhappar based on his Vast knowledge of Dharma Saastrams . Other Azhagiya Singars enlarged that corpus of Knowledge .
