I got a mail from the Srivilliputtur Vedantha Desika Sabha, with the

following appeal. As requested by them I am placing the same for the

benefit of the Desika bhakthas.

Dear Bakthas.

 

We would like to inform you that the construction of a Yatra Niwas

and Multi Community Hall at vacant site owned by Sri Vedantha Desika

Baktha Sabha situated in Sri Aranganatha Perumal Koil Street opposite

to Sri Andal Sannathi Street at Srivilliputtur is nearing its

completion.

 

This noble cause was started in 1986, with a total estimated cost of

Rs. 15.00 Lakhs, and the work disrupted at Ground Floor lintel level

due to financial constraint. Subsequently, it is re-estimated at

cost of Rs, 20.00 Lakhs, for the future construction of the proposed

building with escalated increase in cost. With the Blessings of Sri

Hayagriva and Sri Vedantha Desika, we have continued with the work on

the Thirunakshatra Day of Lord Hayagriva in Vyaya year with patronage

of the financial support extended by devotees.

 

We are now at the finishing stage of the entire project with 1300

sq.ft. on Cellar and Ground Floor and 4 rooms (100 sq. ft each) &

small hall measuring 750 sq. ft. on the first floor with a common

Kitchen and lavatory complex; but we still require to generate

Rs.6.00 Lakhs to complete the finishing works on the building.

Further we need to provide Rs.1.00 lakh for the cost of electrical

fittings for the proposed building.

 

At any cost, it is every one's desire to complete this noble cause

and it is dream of sishya's of Sri Vedantha Desika to consecrate this

building before Thai of Sarvadhari year. At this juncture we request

you to support by contributing substantial amount to fulfill the

Kainkaryam. The Demand Draft/Cheque invited in favour of Sri Vedantha

Desika Baktha Sabha Thiruppani Committee, Payable at Srivilliputtur. "
