Guest guest
Srimathy Lakshmi, Going by what our elders do, it is regular pooja with lakshmi sthothras. Fasting is also done. But the time factor is important. The auspicious time is only for 10 to 15 minutes soon after the entry of Sun into Meena rasi. If it is exceeded, then navamsa lagna will change. Within this time, the charadu must be changed. Usually the offer of karadai is done with a saying " Urugada Vennaiyum oradaiyum naan tharuven - orukaalum en kanavar ennai piriyadirukkanum " . After this the charadu is changed and the nOnbu charadu is tied. But in some houses, the charadu changing is done on a Friday in Maasi maasam. This is done on the opinion that nOnbu time might not be auspicious. If the meena sankraman happens in odd hour in night, then also a different time is chosen. Vaadhyars and panchanga writers can explain better. regards, jayasree Oppiliappan , " Dr.V.Sadagopan " <yennappan wrote: > > > - > Lakshmi Narayanan > Oppiliappan > Sunday, February 22, 2009 7:42 AM > Re: Maangalya dhaaraNam †" 7 > > > Srimathi.
