Temple sources said that the Tirumala temple had received several hundreds of huge offerings worth ranges from several lakhs to about 10 crore during this century but today's offering was the costliest. After performing the weekly celestial bath (Abhishekam) to the Lord on Friday, the princely crown would be adorned to the presiding deity at the sanctum sanctorum of the over 2000 year old shrine, the sources said. The ardent devotee of Lord, Mr. Gali Janardhan Reddy who is minister for Tourism with the Government of Karnataka and promoter of Brahmani Industries Limited , an integrated steel plant being set up in Jammalamadu in Kadapa district of Andhrapradesh , has handed over the mega offering to the TTD Chairman, Mr. D.K.Adikesavulu Naidu and the TTD Executive Officer, Mr. K.V.
