Dear sri

vaishNava perunthagaiyeer,

In

continuation of point no. 1 on 'manthara and kubja' by our respected

Anbil mama [in his topic of 'The lord relents'] I wish to add the

following

it is

not only kubja was made a beautiful woman but lord krishna enjoyed

with her as desired by her and produced a son and that son is the

one who wrote 'paancharaathra samhithaa'.

May

be 7 or 8 years back somebody in the lists asked the question whether

krishna enjoyed with the hunch back lady as desired by her and I

answered as below.

Please

see naaraayaNeeyam slokam below, which answers the question of

whether this kubjaa’s kaamam is satisfied by krishNa. The answer is

yes.

In

srimadh bhaagavatham also chapter 48 dasama skandham deals with this.

thoughts of thee had all these days been keeping herself in ever

readiness well adorned and well dressed for the festivity of thy

arrival and reception at her house.

meaning:

when afterwards thou didst ask her to seek any boon of her choice,

the stupid women prayed that she might spend more nights with thee.

Perhaps it is only an awakened soul that will pray for saayujya

[liberation by dissolution in thee]. But then why did she not pray

for saameepya- the privilege of abiding ever near thee at least.

meaning: O lord subsequently thou didst spend some

nights with her conferring on her the greatest delight and also didst

beget on her a son named upasloka who became the exponent of satvatha

samhitha [also known as paancharaathra] which he learnt from sage

naaradhaa [this boon was perhaps guided by lord’s will to the

purpose of delivering to the world the sathvatha samhitha].

Point: So it is not only the lord relents but also

fulfills wishes of the person – even if it is too materialistic as

seen here.
