Sri Vaishnava Rishis, Alwars and Acharyas have gifted us many Stotras for making prayer to Lord Sriman Narayana, as under:

 

Recite for 45 days:

For improvement in Educational Skills Sri Hayagriva Stotram

For Seeking long life Ayushya Sooktham

For removal of Diseases Sri Sudarsanashtakam and Apamarjana Stotram

For acquiring Wealth Sri Stuti and Srisooktham

For getting married Thiruppavai and Nachiar Thirumozhi

For being a Deergha Sumangali Sri Mangalya Sthavam

For successful conduct of marriage Seetha Kalyana Sargam in Srimad Ramayana

For removal of all obstacles Sundarakandam in Srimad Ramayana

For repentance of grave sins committed Papapranasana Stotram

 

Recite for 5 days ending with the Date of Function:

For Shashtyabda Poorthi & Sathabhishekam 4000 Divya Prabandham with Thodakkam and Sattumarai

 

Recite on the day of occurrence:

On Birthdays & Marriage Anniversaries Selected Pasurams of all 108 Divya Desams

 

Recite Daily

For Family Happiness and Prosperity Vishnu Sahasranamam

 

Recite for as many days as possible

For emancipation of bed ridden elders in their final days -

For their Surrender to Sriman Narayana Mukunda Mala, Nyasa Dasakam and Saranagathi Gadyam

To be recited at their Bedside

 

 

All Sri Vaishnavas are requested to recite the above for attaining the identified benefits, for the period mentioned above.

 

But due to either lack of knowledge or pressure of work / career demands or due to other reasons, many are unable to recite the above.

 

Considering the need to help such Devotees, I have started the Kainkaryam titled “Sriman Narayana Prarthana Kainkaryamâ€.

 

Under this Kainkaryam, Devotees --who feel the need to do the above Prayers, but are unable to do the same for any reason—can have the same recited by a Guru and have the prayers made on their behalf to Sriman Narayana.

 

These Prayer recitals would be performed at the residence of the devotee. In the event of there being any limitations, the same could be performed on their behalf at the Guru’s place itself, if so opted by the devotee.
