We are unlikely to have upanyasam for the next three weeks.

This Saturday (Jan 18, 2003) Srimad Azhagiya Singar is travelling

to Kanchipuram for the inaugural ceremonies of renovation of

Sri Ahobila Matam at Kanchipuram.

 

The following week, Srimad Azhagiya Singar is scheduled to

be in Nanganallur. It seems it is an annual practice of Sri Desika

Sabha of Nanganallur to host Thiruvaradanai for Malolan on the

occasion of Republic Day (Jan 26). Srimad Azhagiya Singar

will be travelling to Nanganallur on Saturday 25th. Even though

the travel to Nanganallur from Selaiyur will only take 30 minutes,

a big crowd is expected at Nanganallur to greet Srimad Azhagiya

Singar. Having a tele-upanyasam under this circumstance may

not be possible.

 

Feb 1st is Srimad Injimedu Azhagiya Singar's Thirunakshatram

(in the U.S. the TN falls on Friday, Jan 31st). A long day of

programs is expected on that day. Srimad Azhagiya Singar

may be too tired to deliver upanyasam in the evening.

This is the calendar Srimad Azhagiya Singar spoke of at the

end of last week's upanyasam. The calendar covers many

rare pictures of Nava Nrisimha of Ahobilam. These make the

calendar desirable even if you do not live in the U.S. If you

live in the U.S. you will find the calendar very useful for

anushtanam such as Ekadasi, Amavasyai, Sangaramanam, etc.

 

Srimad Azhagiya Singar also mentioned about the digitization

of the last 60 years of Sri Nrisimha Priya. The project is currently

more than a third complete. We will be releasing the first 20

years soon. So far we have raised a little less than half the

amount needed. The total budget is $7,000. Sri. Sadagopan

has been coordinating the fund raising. Please contact him
