Sri:

Sri Brahmatantra Swatantra Parakala Guru Paramparayai Nama:

Dear Bhagavatas

It is that wonderful time of the year again, when all the

shishyas from all corners come together to celebrate

the Thirunakshatrams of Bhagavan Ramanuja and Sri Parakala

Matham Acharyas, including that of prAkritam Parakala Swamy

(chaitra mAsam, revati nakshatram).

During the lunar months of chaitram and vaishakham (chaitra mAsam

marks the beginning of new year, Yugadi, more popularly known as

Ugadi), the thirunakshatrams of several acharyas are observed, such

as Sri Parakala Swamy, Sri Ramanuja Parakala Swamy, Sri Periya

Parakala Swamy and none other than Sri Bhashyakarar Himself.

It has been a tradition at Sri Parakala Matham to observe all these

thirunakshatrams together on a grand scale. Also, over the last few

years, devotees from all across the globe, inside and outside of India

have participated in large numbers by sponsoring various sevas

and utsavams during the festival.

This year is no different from those that have passed in that respect.

During the 10 days that span between April 27th and May 6th,

Sri Parakala Matham will be observing these thirunakshatrams of

our Acharyas in a grand scale. The festival begins with the TN

of Sri Varada Ramanuja Swamy on April 27th and concludes

with Bhashyakarar's and Sri Periya Parakala Swamy's TN

observance on May 6th. Between those days, homams, ubhaya

veda parayanams, thirumanjanams and utsavams to

Sri Laxmi Hayagrivar are planned. The details of all these functions are

listed at

Sponsorships for various sevas are available and can be made from

the website itself. This is an invitation to all of you to come and

participate

in the celebrations. Those who wish to sponsor various sevas will

be able to submit their Sankalpam information from the website itself.

I look forward to your participation in this very important event.

sri parakala swamy thiruvadigale saranam!
