Guest guest
SrI: SrimatE SrivaN SatakOpa Sri nArAyaNa YatIndra MahAdEsikAya nama: MAsu manaththanAi mAlai aRinthidA NIsan adiyanai nIkkAthu - pAsamAi Eesan amalanin innadi kAttiya (mAda) PUsi ariyinthAL pugu. (approximate English translation) When I was full of dirty heart and was without the knowledge of mAl (Sriman nArAyaNA); When I was a lowly creature………..The one, who instead of rejecting me right-away (nIkkAthu) – with great affection Showed me the sweet thiruppAdam of the Lord, The father of All and akalmishan…… That mAdabhUshi Hari's (iniya)thiruppAdam (mAdaPusi ari) is the one to be attained by me. Dear srIvaishNavAs, We are aware that srI. U.Ve. Hari is doing an excellent kaimkaryam in the form of " kalakshEpam " for Singapore bhAgavathAs for more than three years now. But many of us are not aware that he has composed more than 10,000 (as approximately guessed by me) poems in traditional Tamil (marabuth thamizh), adhering strictly to the grammatical rules and ThiruvuLLam of PerumAL and pUrvAchAryAs. Over 4000 of the poems are dedicated to srimad ValmIki's " Ramayanam " . (As almost all the tranlated versions of srimad Ramayanam do not not convey the meaning of original verses). Over 1000 are sung on AzhvArs and Divya prabhandams. Other poems are on srIvaishnNava-srIviSishtAdvaitha philosophy. Almost all the poems are set in " veNpA " or kattaLai kalith thuRai. These two types of pAs are extensively used in Divyaprabhandams and svAmi dEsikan's Tamil poems. These two metres are very difficult for one to set their poems into. Our AchAryAs have blessed srI.Hari for this noble kaimkaryam. Recently he has written a prabhandam called " SatAri Satakam " . As we guess, it is on Srimad SatakOpa mAmuni(nammAzhvAr). Also, he has written vyAkyAnam for each of the 100 poems in maNipravALa nadai. He has given his kind permission (divine command) to share the same with you all. aDiyEn will just do the English translation and it will run for quite some time. To make me more conversant with the meaning, he has consented to brief me on this divinely work. aDiyEn prays to Lord srI Oppiliappan's thiruvadi for the successful completion of this Himalayan task. Hopefully, aDiyEn will start the first posting on the day of " Srimad BhasyakArar's thirunakshatram " .
