Prabhandam- pAsuram 6 & 7 2. Pearls from the poems SS-6 araNAnAr nammAzhvAr AraNam nATTum * SaraNA gatiseidu sAlbAi – muraNAna * vEda viruttamatam vEraRuttAr sentamizhil * bOdamadait tandAr polindu. The rakshakatvam of nammAzhvAr is further elaborated in this pAsuram. Those matams, which contradict Sruti, could not come back only because of the strong condemnation by AzhvAr. Also, he is the bestower of best knowledge and he well practiced siddOpAyam and sAdyOpAyam. SS-7 polindaruL pArengum pongakali keTTu * malindaDiyAr vAzhayengum mANbAi – nalindiDAdu * mangaLA Sasanattai mARan mozhindugandAr * engaL tirukkurugUr yERu. AzhvAr has done mangaLASasanam to the bhAgavata kuzhAm as `poliga poliga poliga!!!'. It reminds us the thrice repeating `Shanti' of vEdAs. Because of this anugraham of AzhvAr, the evil forces of kali could not do any harm to the aDiyArs of SrIman nArAyaNA. Pearls: Being a strong protector of this sathsampradAyam, AzhvAr has driven away the evil matams and evil forces of kali. [saTAri Satakam is one of the many classic works of srI. U.vE. M.S.Hari. The vyAkyanam was done by him in maNipravALa naDai. aDiyEn requests you to kindly bear with me on unintentional typos and translation errors.] aDiyEn Mukundan rAmAnuja dAsan
Guest guest
Dear SrI vaishNavAs, Due to my tamO-rajO-guNAdikam these days, I did not do the translation work for the above last week. In the current post, there has been a blunder, which has been immediately pointed out by SrI. U.vE.Hari. Please read the following correction indicated by SrI. Hari ( Lot of thanks to awakening aDiyEn frequently!) ---------- > he well practiced siddOpAyam and > sAdyOpAyam. The 6th verse talks only that he practiced sAdyOpAyam. sAdyOpAyam mentioned in that verse is SaraNAgati. Only the sAdyOpAyam can be practiced. Ref. " SaraNA gati-seidu " sidhOpAyam is SrIman nArAyaNan himself. sidhOpAyam cannot be practices as the Lord is always sidha: present. The lord is attracted (vaSIkaraNam) by Jeevan's performance of sAdhyOpAyam. ---------- --- I'm really sorry for the mistake dAsan Mukundan
