In the present one, we shall see what the other three prabhandams of AzhvAr represent for. Details presented in this post: a.. Prabhandam- pAsuram 16, 17 & 18 b.. Pearls from the poems SS-16 ERRaruLi viNNappam EasanmAl kATTinAn * tERRamAi Aattuma teLLaRivai – pORRiyuDan * dESikar mARaravar tEnesur sAratiru * Aasiriyam kaNDuraittAr Aam. We mentioned about AzhvAr’s prayer (viNNappam) in the last poem. Accepting that viNNappam, the Lord blessed AzhvAr with Aatma gyAnam (mayarvaRa madinalam) and wished that this gyAnam had to be spread in this world. Knowing this tiru-uLLam of perumAL, AzhvAr graciously composed tiru-Aasirium, which is yajur-vEda sAram. SS-17 AamnAyat tuLLa adarvaNattin sAruRaittu * tAmnEya mAga tarittirundAr – tEmAi * periyatiru vantAdi peedinaip pEsi * uriya teruLAl uyarvu. As he could not get bhagavat anubhavam immediately, AzhvAr started singing His glory and His benevolence shown to AzhvAr. Contemplating on Him, he composed periya-tiruvantAdi as the essence of adarvaNa vEdam. SS-18 uyarvaRa enRe uyarvAi mozhiyAm * mayarvaRa gyAnanala mARan – seyalAm * ayarvaRum nittiyarsol AraNa sAmam * tuyaraRu tALmEl toDai. The pattern of this pAsuram itself brings out the majesty of AzhvAr’s magnum opus, tiruvAimozhi. With AzhvAr’s uninterrupted meditation on Him, the Lord was pleased very much appeared before him. AzhvAr enjoyed Him as much as possible and as an outpouring of that experience, composed tiruvAimozhi in antAdi toDai as sAma-vEda sAram. Here sAma-vEdam is celebrated as nityasooris’ AraNa sAmam. Pearls from the poems: a.. The prappanA’s remaining life will progress steadily as indicated by AzhvAr here. b.. TiruvAimozhi’s eternality is indicated by mentioning it as nityasooris’ SAma gAnam.
