Guest guest
SrI: SrImahtE SaThakOpAya nama: SrImathE rAmAnujAya nama: SrImathE nigamAnta mahA dESikAya nama: Dear SrI vaishNavAs, ------- Sankuchakkaram ankaiyilkoNDAn - engumtAnAya nangaLnAthanE – tvm 1.8.9 ------- Details presented in this post: 1. Prabhandam - pAsuram 43 & 44 2. Pearls from the poems SS-43 azhagAl maRaivaDivAl * acchutanO DenRum * pazhagum nerukkattAl paNbAl – muzhakka * kaLaiyAm piRarmatattaik kAivadAl * mAyan vaLaiyO SaTakOpan vAkku. `paDaipOr pukku muzhangum' pAnchajanyam is compared to AzhvAr's SrIsUkthis. Both of them: - are beautiful by themselves. - resemble of vEdAs(praNavam) in their form. - are very close to perumAL. - Have characteristics such as gyAna-pratatvam, satvam etc. Apart from these, when they are put on work, the very second they frighten the enemies and destroy them. SS-44 vAkkum amizhdu * vaLartEsum tAnamizhdu * nOkkum amizhdumaRai nuTpamelAm – kAkka * kamazhum vakuLamOda kalviniRai vAzhum * tamizhum amizhdamizhdu tAL. In all ways and means, nammAzhvAr excels as `niradiSaya bhOgyam' – unparallel source of pleasure. When one repeats the word `tamizh' without gap, it sounds like `amizhdu'. When one uninterruptedly delves in AzhvAr pAsurams, he will obtain `amizhdu'(nectar of bhagavat anubhavam) as a result. Pearls from the poems: AzhvAr's sangat-tamizh is compared to Sankam and amizhdu. [saTAri Satakam is one of the many classic works of srI. U.vE. M.S.Hari. Email: mshari.
