Sri Ahobila Matam is very happy to announce the celebration of Acharya

Thirunakshathrams. The celebration will be held over the Labor Day weekend on

Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31, 2003 at Washington, D.C.

We will celebrate the Thirunakshathrams (divine birth stars) of Swami Vedantha

Desikan, Srimad Athivan Satakopan, Srimad Devanar Vilagam Azhagiya Singar (43rd

Jeeyar), Srimad Mukkur Azhagiya Singar (44th Jeeyar), and the present Srimad

Azhagiya Singar, the 45th Jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Matam.

 

The Thirunakshathrams of these illustrious Acharyas fall between August 2003 and

December 2003. We will celebrate all the Thirunakshathrams in one grand

celebration so that sishyas and other interested Sri Vaishnavas from all over

the U.S. can come and participate.

 

The celebration will include Thiruvaradhanam & Nava Kalasa Thirumanjanam for Sri

Navaneetha Krishnan, Dolothsavam for Sri Navaneetha Krishnan, Padhuka Aradhanai,

presentations on Sri Vaishnava sampradayam, children's program, music, dance,

religious quiz program and much more. If you would like to enter your child

in the talent show, please enter the name, age and what would she/he perform

(all Srivaishnava themes like drawing pictures of Perumal and Piratti, story

telling, writing or reciting poem etc.) when you register. Please use the

comments section at the bottom of the registration page to give these details.

It would help us in the coordination of the program.

 

We invite everyone to come with their family and enjoy a unique spiritual

experience. We will make all local arrangements including airport pick up & drop

off, local stay, food, etc. Please make your travel plans to Washington D.C.
