Dear SrI vaishNavAs,

On this auspicious day of SrI JayantI, aDiyEn is happy to post

another excellent work of SrI.U.vE. Hari svAmi on tUppul kulamaNiyin

kumAramaNi, Srimath kumAra varadar, whose avatAra tirunakshatram

happens to coincide with that of SrI nandagOpan kumaran.

This prabhandam has been composed in nErisai veNpA metre. The

prabhandam consists of 20 poems. We shall see all of them with the

vyAkyAnam written by SrI.Hari himself in a few postings.

KumAra varada veNpA prabhandam

KV-1

SukatAta nenRa suDarviyAsar oppAi *

nigamAnta dESikanum niRka – segamuyya *

vanduditta nAthA varadagurO tandaruLun *

sendA maraittAL siree.

SrI Veda vyAsa bhagavAn is not only celebrated because of his own

glory and the glory of his ancestors but also because of the glory of

his illustrious son, SrI Suka brahma rishi. Similar to SrI Veda vyAsa

bhagavAn, swAmi SrIman nigamAnta mahA deSikan is also not only

celebrated because of his own glory and the glory of his ancestors

but also because of the glory of his illustrious son SrImath Varada

guru. Such is the unique greatness of SrImath kumAra varadAchArya. He

incarnated for the world to get elevated. The author prays addressing

SrImath kumAra varadAchArya as his Lord and requests SrImath kumAra

varadAchArya to bless by granting his divine red lotus-like feet.

KV-2

vAzhi kumAra varadA riyavaLLal *

vAzhi avararuL vAkkamizhdu – vAzhiyarO *

tUppul gurubhaktit tORRam ivarenRum *

kKAppenRiruppAr kazhal.

The author sings mangaLam to the most benevolent SrImath kumAra

varadAchArya, his divine nectar-like SrI suktis. SrImath kumAra

varadAchArya is none but the form of devotion towards tUppul guru

(swAmi SrIman nigamAnta mahA dESika). The author extends singing

mangaLam to all SrI VaishNavas who are determined that refuge is

SrImath kumAra varadAchArya's divine feet.

We shall continue to enjoy the pAsurams in the next post.
