Hence Shiva is the Lord of all entities. Swami’s Line of Reasoning: Lord Vishnu took the Avathara of Mohini in order to help out devas in reinstating their Loka, Which were seized by asuras. At that time Shiva, not realising that the Paravasthu, due to His vathsalya has taken a human form, was infactuated by Mohini’s beauty. Lord Vishnu who do the Creation and Destruction of this universe as His leela, decided to play with the situation. He started to appear and vanish many times in front of Shiva. Shiva who is already is deep lust started to wander all around in search of Mohini. He was totally exhausted. At that time Lord Vishnu appeared before him with His Chathur Buja and Shanka & Chakra. Swami further explained about the Sastha’s birth. Lord Vishnu took the Mohini avatara due to the prayers of Saints in the Dharukavana. The form of Mohini was exteremly beautiful, by seeing which Shiva could not resist his Yearning towards Her. As shiva was helpless in getting Her, he discharged his Veerya Scalitha in to his Left foot toe, from which emerged the Sastha. This is explained in Uttara Kurma, Padma Purana and Dasa Sahasra Samhita. Once there lived a Asura called Basmasura. He did a severe penance towards Shiva in order to get his wishes satisfied. Shiva, pleased by his penance, appeared before him and granted the boons he requested for. (the boon was, when Basmasura touch the head of a person, he will become ash). After getting this boon, Basmasura was curious to try it out and eventually decided to try this with Shiva. Shiva, who do not know the technique to win the asura, prostrated towards Mahavishnu to save him. Lord Sriman Narayana who is all compassionate, immediately assent to Shiva’s request, took the form of Mohini and dodged the Asura with His brilliant idea and made the Asura touch his own head thus shattering him to ashes. The Pramana quotes: “Brahmathsyas sakaladeva: manushya: pasavasthatha Vishnumayamahavarthe mohantha thamasavrutha:†All the devas headed by Brahma, all human beings and animals are deceived by Vishnu’s Maya. Quoting the various pramanas as stated above, Swami Koorathazwan refuted the Saiva’s Claim that Shiva is the Supreme Lord.
