Guest guest
Dear Sri Ramachandra BhakthAs : adiyEn's Best wishes for a Happy , Healthy and Kaimkaryam-filled New Year of PaarTiva to you , Your Family & Friends ! PaarTiva Year is the 19th year in the Jupiter's cycle of 60 Years . The Next year in this cycle is Viyaya . The Name PaarTiva ( masculine gender ) is derived from PruTvee , the Earth ( Medhini , Vasundhara , Sarvam Sahaa , BhUmi DEvi) . PaarTiva means relating to Earth or the Lord of the Earth . Thus , PaarTiva SrEshtA means the best among Kings : Chakravarthy Thirumahan , Lord Raamachandra is that PaarTiva SrEshtan . PaarTiva Suthaa refers to the King's daughter : Janaka Maha RAjA's Daughter , SithA Piratti . When we think of the new year , PaarTiva , both Lord Raamachandra and His Divine Consort Jaanaki fill our minds .The SlOkams of Swamy ParAsara Bhattar's Sri GuNa Rathna Kosam ( http://www.malolan.org) {slOkams ( 50 & 51) } and his Sri Rangaraja Sthavam , SthOthram flash before our minds . Swamy ParAsara Bhattar visualizes Sri RanganAyaki as Jaanaki MaathA and Uthsavar vigraham of Lord RanganAtha as SrI Ramachandra . Moola BhEram at Srirangam is traditionally accepted as DaamOdhara KrishNan . Swamy Desikan has saluted Lord RanganAthan as Sriranga PruTveesan ( = Ranga PaarTivan ) in number of Paadhukaa Sahasra SlOkams . This adds extra support to the view proposed here that the new PaarTiva Year is tightly coupled to Lord RanganAtha as RaamAvathAran & Sri RanganAyaki as Jaanaki MaathA ( Sri Ranga PruTveeswari ) . Swamy ParAsara Bhattar concedes in the 51st SlOkam of Sri GuNa Rathna Kosam that he belongs to the Jaanaki GhOshti and that the Lord Sriranga PaarTivan is related to him thru Jaanaki Maathaa . Let us conclude this tribute to this Divine Couple during this Sri Raama Navami uthsava season through two slOkams , one from Swamy ParAsara Bhattar and the other from Sri Kutti SaasthrigaL VamsatthAr : SapthaprAkAramdhyE sarasija mukuLodhbhAsamAnE VimAnE KaavEri madhyadEsE mrudhutara-phaNirADbhOga paryanka-bhAgE nidhrAmudhrAbhirAmam kaDinikaDasira: pArsva vinyastha-hastham PadhmA-DhAthree karAbhyAM parichitha scharaNam RangarAjam bhajEham (Meaning ) : I meditate on the Lord of Srirangam reclining on his most enjoyable soft bed of AdhisEsha with His eyes closed in YoganidhrA pose . He is keeping His right hand under His head and His left hand near His hip . He rests under the PraNavAkAra VimAnam of the Srirangam Temple encircled by seven courtyards. His feet are being gently pressed by SrI and BhU Devis during His yoganidhrA at His temple situated in the central region of KaavEri delta. Lord RanganAthA's Temple in Pomona , N.Y.observes all Uthsavams and anushtAnams as at Srirangam temple including the use of PanchAngam computed by JyOsyar , Kutti SaasthrigaL , whose family has been Sriranga PanchAnga GaNitha MirAsu for the past 115 years. adiyEn adds their vamsatthAr's SaraNAgathy to the Srirangam Dhivya Dampathis : KaavEri madhyadEsE Himakara- sarasee theera PunnAga-paarsvE BrahmAdhyArAdhithE asmin Dasamukha-sahaja sTApithE VedasrungE SrirangAkhyE VimAnE PhaNipathi Saayinam RanganATam SenEsa-SrI SaThAri prabrudhibhi:MunigaNai: sEvitham samsrayAva: The PanchAngam computed especially for the SriranganAtha Temple , Pomona , N.Y should be here before too long . Please recieve this calendar in your homes and invite Lord RanganAtha , Sriranga PaarTivan in to Your PoojA grahams . May Your Kaimkarya SrI grow exponentially during this PaarTiva Year ! Svasthi SrI: Sri Ranga Pruthveesa Daasan , Oppiliappan Koil V.Sadagopan
