he is so overcome in grappling with the myriad auspicious guNams of Sri Devi

that he is about to give up and asks a rhetoric question : Oh DEvi with the name

of

SrI ! who indeed can venture to describe Your Vaibhavam adequately ( SrIrithyEva

cha nAma tE Bhagavathy , BhrUma: kaTam ThvAm vayam ? ) . Here Swamy AlavanthAr

salutes Her Parathvam (Supermacy) .

 

In the next slOkam , Swamy Alavanthar reveals that even Her own husband ,

Sriman Narayanan does not know the full magnitude of Her glories ( Thvadh

VallabhOapi

Prabhu: naalam mAthum iyatthayA ) . LokaikEswari! dhAnthE ! ( Oh Empress of

the Universe and KaruNA Moorthy ) ! adiyEn is an ignoramus and yet ventures

to salute fearlessly Your vaibhavams by using my rights as Your Prapannan

( ThAmm ThvAm dhAsa ithi Prapanna ithi cha sthOshyAmyaham nirbhayO ) .

 

Swamy Desikan drew up his pramANams from all these PoorvAchArya

SrI Sookthis and SrI Sooktham and composed spontaneously

the SrI Sthuthi to help a poor BrahmachAri acquire dhanam to get

married . All of this happened right in front of Perum Devi ThAyAr

at Her sannidhi at Kaanchipuram some 700 years ago .

Here is the scope and time table for our kaimkaryam :

 

There are 12 days in September after the end of this year's

ChAthurmAsyam, 31 days in October , 30 days in November

and 10 days in December until the 79th Thirunakshathram .

That makes a total of 83 days ( 8 stands for AshtAksharam

and 3 stands for Tatthva Thrayam here ) . We have pledges

as of today for 9 out of the 83 days . We need units of $250

for the remaining 74 days . Any amount of support from

you all is most welcome to reach the target figure .
