It is my plaeasure to share this new information with you all . Please do visit the temple if you can . NamO Sriman NarayaNAya , V.Sadagopan ************************************************************** Sriman Satagopan Swamin, For your kind information, Nellore is located on the route " Chennai-Vijayawada " at a distance of about 100 miles/175 kms from Chennai on the Grand Northern Trunk Road. Nellore is an important station on the Chennai-Delhi and Chennai-Calcutta railway line. It is not on Chennai-Tirupati route. The main temple (Thalpagiri Ranganathaswamy temple) might be the last one from Chennai on the northern side where you can find separate shrine for Azhwar/Acharyas. This shrine has separate Azhvar sannidhi where exist Moola and Utsva Vigrahams for all 11 Azhvars (an exclusive sannidhi for Andal) and also for Acharyas, Ramanuja, Koorathazhvan and Manavala Mamunigal. All Azhvar and Acharya Vaarshika Thirunakshathrams were celebrated for 10 days with Purappadu and a grand Satrumurai utsavam too. Acharya Ramanuja Satrumurai utsavam used to be celebrated in a very grand manner. They used to invite Prabhandha Parayanakaras from Triplicane and Kanchipuram for 10 days to supplement the local Adhyapakas. This temple was known as Periya Koil and Srinivasa Perumal/Swamy Desikan temple s Chinna koil.
