Sri:

Today we will continue with short summaries of each the 5 sarams (strands) of Tattva Mukta Kalaapam ( Pearly assembly of Doctrines) . The center piece ( Naayaka Saram) of the 5 sarams is Iswaa Saram celebrating Iswara Tattvam . He as Iswaran is the Commander of the sentients and insentients of the world created by Him( Srutibhi: ViSva-nEtA adhigata : ) . He has unassailable Sakti ( nisseema Sakti : ) . He creates the worlds and their beings according to their puNya-Paapams ( jeeva karmAnuroopam viSwam srujati).

The highlights of Iswara Saram illustrated by Swamy Dsikan in Tattva Mukta KalApam are :

1) Sriman Naraaynan is the Emperor of this universe. He is the Supreme Ruler of this universe. He is the cause of the Universe . He is the Brahman ( the loftiest One).

2) We understand the above attributes of His from the Vedams ; It is not possible to know about Him except thru the VedAs. Any approaches conflicting with the Vedas will not be able to reveal His attributes to us( vEdEbhya: Baddha vairam anumAnam na tishtatE).

3) He is beyond the reach of our speech and mind ( Vaak-chittaagOcharan) because of His limitlessness (ParicchityabhAva prayuktA).

4) Sriman NaarAyaNan alone is the Supreme Being ( Para Brahmam). He is the indweller of all (antaryAmi Brahmam) .He is the creator of the Universe .

(5) He is the One who is full of auspicousness (Sivan) . When the Upanishad says that Sivan has to be meditated upon , it is only referring to Sriman NaarAyaNan as the embodiment of auspiciousness that is meant . He is the indweller of Sivan , Brahmaa et al.

(6 ) VEdam declares resoundingly that ParamAtma is the goal of all Brahma VidhyAs (Nikhila Brahma-vidhyAsu vEdhya: yEsha NaarAyaNa:).

(7) For establishing His dharmams , the ruler of all follows His own commands (dharmANam sthApanArtham SaasitA svam Saasanam svayamapi bhajatE). He takes on His own volition various avatArams to demonstrate His ease of access ( soulabhyam).

(8 ) The status of Sriman NaarAyaNan as the Supreme One ( Para Tattvam) is revealed by many PramANams like Srimath RaamAyanam , Mahaa Bharatam ( the fifth vedam) , PaancharAtra SamhitAs, Saatvika PurANams like VishNu PurAnam , the dharma saastrams , yEkAyana Saakai , which avoids all gods except VishNu, the vallis of KaTha Saakhai, The Taapaneeya , Brahma Bindhu and SouBaala Upanishads .

(9) The Maharishis like ParAsarar, VyAsar who clearly understood the true nature of Devatais declare that Sriman NaarAyaNan alone is the Supreme among Gods . Silpa Saastram , which has no partiality declares that the VimAnam of Hari is the loftiest. JyOthisha saastram states that the time used in reflection of Hari is the best among lagnams. Aayur Vedam asserts that the best medicine is the Hari Naama sankeertanam . Uttama VaidheekAs like Dhramidar and BhOdhAyanar elevated therefore Hari as the supreme among all devatAs ( Para devatai). These are the many evidences for Bhagavaan being the Iswaran and no one else. We should uinderstand His true nature thru such PramAnams.
