As you are already aware, the 79th thirunakshatram of Srimad Azhagiyasingar,

the 45th Jeeyar of Sri Ahobila Matam, falls on the 9th of December 2005

(karthigai - uthirattadhi) in the USA.

 

Elaborate arrangements are being made in Bangalore, India to celebrate this

in a grand manner. The function involves enormous expenditure with hundreds

of learned veda and prabhanda vidwans taking part from all over the country

(full travel expense covered with daily sambhavanais) and thousands of

devotees taking part in the celebrations daily. Sri Ahobila Matam, USA is

currently undertaking the semi-annual fundraiser to offset some of the

expenditure. You may have already seen the postings by Sriman Sadagopan and

Sriman Rajaji in this regard. Please contribute your might and send your

Sri Ahobila Matam, USA is planning to celebrate the thirunakshatram

simultaneously in various cities across the USA so that Sri Matam Sishyas

and abhimanees can participate.

 

The following are the cities where the Thirunakshatram Celebrations is

currently planned:

New York (Sri Ranganatha Temple)

Chicago

Denver

Detroit

Dallas

Raleigh, NC

Seattle

 

We are also hoping to extend this to other cities so that more people can

join in celebrating the Thirunakshatram. Please send me an email if you are
