Guest guest
Sri Ahobila Mutt, Chembur is just entering 40th year on 11 Sep 2007. There was no temple of our sampradayam in this big city then and Sri Desika Sabha and Sri Krishna Sabha were the congregation place for iyengars. It was the efforts of Mukkur Srimad Azaghiyasingar this temple came up in grand style. The Acharyan's future vision for the need for a larger space for the temple persuavaded Sri Desika Sabha to part with adjacent land for the temple for a nominal settlement. All of us today are enjoying a spacious temple located at a prime area. The temple management have announced a grand celebration on 9 Sep, the day temple enters 40 th year. Also a five day Avatharathinothsavam Utsavam will take place from 9th Sep 2007 to 13th Sep 2007 for Mukkur Srimad Azhagiyasingar. As in the past the programme will include Thirumanjanam, Sevakalam, Thiruveedhi Purappadu of the Acharyan etc. All are requsted to keep in touch with the temple and partake in all kainkaryams.
