Even while a king of petty small area, when visited by scholars and

people from various countries, is eulogized in various languages /

dialects, what to say on the King of ubhaya vibhUti.

It is very apt that AzhvAr sings the praises of SrIranga-RAjan in

fragrant tamizh.

tonRutoTTup pADi tozhuvadidu – enRumuNDu *

tOttirangaL seidu tudittAr tamizhmARan *

sAttira mAtsiyangaL sAnRu.

 

Even SAstrAs - such as mAtsyapurANam - show that singing Hari

keerti in various languages is an appropriate practice. So, it is

not necessary that Hari-keerti should be in Sanskrit only. The rules

for using languages are applicable to some other issues only. Thus,

the prabhandams given by AzhvAr in sweet tamizh language go well

with pramANams.
