Guest guest
sri: Srimate Srilakshminrisimha Parabrahmane Nama: Srimate Sri Lakshminrisimha Divyapadukasevaka Srivan Satakopa Sri NarayanaYatindra Mahadesikaya nama: namo narayana! On behalf of Sri Ahobila Matam sishyas of U.S. adiyEn would like to report the conclusion of Adyayana Utsavam for Dolai Kannan. The function began on December 21, 2003. On the very first day, we called India and received Srimad Azhagiya Singar's niyamanam and blessings for the utsavam. Thus began the wonderful voyage through the verses passed down to us from antiquity only through the divine grace of Sriman Narayana. In keeping with the tradition followed by Sri Ahobila Matam Mudalayiram and Periya Thirumozhi were recited during the morning session. Thiruvaymozhi and Iyarpa were recited during the evening session. Sri Desika Prabhandam was recited both morning and evening. Everyday, the morning session began after the conclusion of Dhanur Masa aradhanam. the evening session started at about 4 p.m. and concluded with evening Aradhanam. Perumal enjoyed not only the Prabhandams but also Alanagara Thaligai every session. None of the participants were formally trained in the recitation of Dhivya Prabhandam. Yet we ventured into the utsavam motivated only by an intense desire to perform this kainkaryam for Dolai Kannan. At the beginning the task seemed monumental. It felt like being in a leaky boat trying to cross an ocean. But Sri Kannan guided us through the pasurams. Not only that, He took us down to the depths of the ocean and revealed the immense heaps of pearls, corals and other precious gems shining brightly everywhere. While it started out as an Utsavam for the pleasure of Kannan it ended up a joyful expedition for all of us as well. It is a wonderful feeling to realize that this treasure is bequeathed to us by our unsurpassed and peerless Acharya Guru Paramparai and all of us have a birth right to it. Even though this was the first Adyayana Utsavam we have celebrated for Dolai Kannan, the participation was wonderful. People from all across USA, from New Jersey to California, from Illinois to Georgia from Mississippi and Texas to Massachusetts, came down to Chattanooga and took part in the festivities. In all, more than 50 people participated and received the blessings of Dolai Kannan. The Utsavam concluded with Thiruvaymozhi Satrumurai on December 27th and Iyarpa (Iramanusa Nootrandati) & Pillai Andhati Satrumurai on December 28th. After the conclusion we called India and reported the completion of the Utsavam to Srimad Azhagiya Singar. Srimad Azhagiya Singar was very pleased and blessed everyone who had participated in the function. With Srimad Azhagiya Singar's blessings we hope Sri Navaneetha Krishnan will enjoy Adyayana Utsavam every year from now on. vaiyagam eN poygai bootham pEyAzhvar mazhisaiyarkOn magizh mARan madhurakavi poyyil pugazh kOzhiyarkOn vittuchitthan poonkOdhai thoNdar adippodi pANAzhvAr aiyan aruL kaliyan ethirAsar thammOdu Ariruvar Or oruvar avar thAm seydha Thuyya thamizh irupatthu nAngin pAttin Thogai nAlAyiramum adiyOngaL vazhvE. -- Prabhanda sAram #17 Subham! -- adiyEn ramanuja dasan srimad azhagiya singar thiruvadi
