pallava utsavam is one of the four utsavams with rakhshabandhanam- the other 3 being brahmotasavam vasantotsavam and pavitrotsavam. This utsavam is held for 7 days with recitation of puranams - last day being the Panguni shravanam - (22nd march 2009 in this year)

 

these 3 clips contain the alankaram(poochhchaaththal) in the 100 pillared mandapam, waking up with the removal of the seven "thagadis" one by one with the nadaswaram playing in the background (these seven representing the seven seas)and the padiyetram -kattiyam and the spinning of the "kudai"
